Apple iTunes Print Length problem

Worm in iTunes iBooks

Apple iTunes has a “Print Length” problem. Apple consistently fails to accurately report the number of pages in some ebooks, like my ebooks for children.

For example. my “If I Had A Tattoo” ebook is 17 pages in MSWord, but Apple reports only 3 pages in its “Print Length”; “Bubble Trouble” is 18 pages in MSWord, but Apple reports only 4 pages in its “Print Length”; “Doug’s Big Idea” is 25 pages in MSWord, but Apple reports only 4 pages in its “Print Length”.

The same misinformation applies to all my ebooks for children, and I suspect this “Print Length” problem exists for authors.

Why Apple even uses an oxymoron-like phrase such as “Print Length” to describe an ebook is beyond me.

I encourage all authors to check the “Print Length” number for their works to ensure an accurate representation.

To view a list of my ebooks on the Apple iTunes iBookStore click here, or type my name, Ted Summerfield, in the iTunes search box.
